Two Linx CJ400 continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers are working round the clock for Australian spring water bottler Wet Fix, which selected two coders for printing bottles and secondary packaging.

Wet Fix, on Queensland’s Gold Coast, has its own Mountain Dew label, but the bulk of its business is contract packing, servicing 200-plus labels.

Two Linx printers are meeting the exacting demands of Espersen Lietuva UAB, one of the most modern fish processing companies in Europe.

The Danish-owned company is the largest producer of Baltic cod products in Lithuania. The products are made of fresh sea-caught and frozen cod and the plant’s production capacity is 25 tonnes per day.

A reliable continuous ink jet (CIJ) printer, ensuring good ink adhesion to plastic film under adverse working conditions of low temperatures, was required for the production plant, where large amounts of fish products are packed in plastic packaging and later labelled.

Three Linx 7900 continuous ink jet printers have been installed by Australian manufacturer Bambach Wires & Cables after the company was impressed with the printers’ speed, print quality and ease of use.

Bambach manufactures specialist and industrial cables for industries, including marine, defence, rail and road, sound and lighting, solar, power and transmission.

Cables are printed at varying intervals, from simple number codes just a few centimetres apart to greater distances with long alphanumeric messages.
