Linx flies high with Air Ambulance donation
Employees from St Ives-based Linx Printing Technologies have raised £10,000 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance following a year of fundraising activities.
Staff at the company in Stocks Bridge Way rolled up their sleeves to organise a quiz night, raffle and family fun day, got out their mixing bowls and barbecues to cook up tasty goodies for a bake sale and sausage sizzle, dunked their sponges for a day of car washing, and got on their bikes for a 260 mile bike ride to France, all of which were loyally supported and sponsored by colleagues, families and friends.
The £10,000 target for the East Anglian Air Ambulance was part of Linx’s 2016 overall charity programme, in which the company has helped a number of different charities that are close to the hearts of its employees.
“We have supported several associates in their fund-raising efforts for individual charities, and we also felt it would be good to have a special charity for the whole company,” explains Nigel Hood, Linx Managing Director. “The East Anglian Air Ambulance was the ideal choice as its life-saving work has the potential to benefit every single person at Linx. We are very proud of how all our associates have rallied together to organise and support so many different events.”
Christopher Donaldson, Fundraising Manager at East Anglian Air Ambulance added:
“Everyone at Linx has worked so hard to raise this fantastic amount. We are extremely pleased to receive this cheque and would like to thank everyone involved for their participation in the various events which made this possible.”
