I<\/strong><\/em><strong><em>f you are based in the United Kingdom and moving plants or plants products to other businesses&nbsp;in the EU (including within the UK) that can host quarantine pests and diseases, you may be required to have a plant passport.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-navi-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>Why print a plant<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;passp<\/strong><strong>ort?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With a plant passport you prove that your plants meet the phytosanitary requirements that apply within the EU. The passport can be square or rectangular and the layout consists of mandatory elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-navi-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>Extension of plant passport obligation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The plant passport obligation extends to all &#8220;plants intended for planting&#8221;. According to the EU definition, these are plants that can produce whole plants and are intended for that purpose. These plants must be planted out, replanted or remain planted. Everything that we now refer to as propagating material is included (including seeds), but also all &#8220;consumer&#8221; room, bedding and tub plants. There will be exceptions; for certain seeds and for sale directly to the non-commercial end user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-navi-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>What should the printed plant passport look like?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"145\" src=\"https:\/\/www.linxglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/plant-passport-guide.png?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23106\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.linxglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/plant-passport-guide.png 640w, https:\/\/www.linxglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/plant-passport-guide.png?resize=300,68 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The new plant passport has a fixed layout and must be arranged per smallest trading unit, such as: pot, tray or box.&nbsp;The information on the passport must be legible to the naked eye.
