Two new thermal inkjet printers launched to enhance the Linx coder range

Linx Printing Technologies has strengthened its range of coders with the launch of two new models of thermal ink jet (TIJ) printers, each tailored to the specific needs of their customers. Designed for single shift production, the Linx TJ20 model is simple to use, affordable and reliable, giving customers confidence that it will add value to their business and enhance their brand. The Linx TJ50 is designed for more demanding applications, with easy database connectivity and the ability to print text, graphics and machine-readable codes onto a wide range of packaging materials. Both models are ideal for customers who need to print onto coated card, plastics, films or metals.
With a maximum print speed of 30m/min @ 300dpi, the robust TJ20 is a small, easy to set up, compact printer that uses a built-in product detector. The simple push-button panel means message selection and start-ups are quick and easy, keeping errors to a minimum with its easy-to-use message creation software. There are no ink refills or service required, and with easy switch HP or Funai cartridges, a new printhead and ink system is delivered each time a cartridge is changed.
This affordable model fits on any level surface or directly onto a conveyor, ideal where space is at a premium. There are no maintenance costs, and compared to labels, for small to medium production runs the cost per print is low. The TJ20 prints on a wide selection of materials with a range of fast drying inks, giving consistent print quality and excellent adhesion.
The Linx TJ50 by comparison is ideal for fast moving factories and is straight-forward to integrate with a factory network. Giving continual, reliable performance, this printer has no maintenance or wear parts, keeping operating costs low whilst delivering consistent print quality. Machine readable DataMatrix and 1D barcodes are delivered at high resolution using specialist pigmented, water and solvent based inks. With the database connectivity and message templates, its simple to create new messages.
Coding errors are eliminated with automatically populated messages direct from the database. Printing machine-readable high-quality barcodes, line speeds of up to 90m/min are achievable with the inks’ rapid dry time and adhesion. In addition, the next generation overlapping nozzle technology helps eliminate missing pixels to deliver consistent, high-quality codes.
Simon Millett, Product Manager for Secondary Markets & Inks, said: “At Linx we pride ourselves on listening to our customers and delivering what they need. These two new additional models to our range now give an even greater choice to customers when looking for a robust, reliable and affordable printer. Their versatility in their sectors makes these models a clear choice; the Linx TJ20, particularly if you are just starting out and want to take that next step, or the Linx TJ50 if you are an established company adapting to demands for product traceability using machine readable codes”.
