L&#8217;encre est achemin\u00e9e vers la chambre d&#8217;\u00e9jection o\u00f9 une r\u00e9sistance \u00e9lectrique la chauffe jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature de 1 000 000\u00baC\/seconde. Un film d&#8217;encre d&#8217;environ 0,1 microm\u00e8tre d&#8217;\u00e9paisseur est chauff\u00e9 \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature d&#8217;environ 340\u00baC de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 former une bulle qui permet d&#8217;\u00e9jecter l&#8217;encre.
