Coding and marking equipment plays a small but vital role in this process – reliability and versatility are crucial.

Code requirements may be simple and driven by legislation – usually a best-before or use by date, batch code or other identifier. But stringent food regulations and the importance consumers place on accurate labelling information mean this is something no manufacturer can afford to get wrong.
