About CO2 Laser Marking
CO₂ laser coding and marking works by directing a focused beam of infrared light onto the surface of a product or packaging, where the energy from the laser heats and alters the material to create a clear, permanent mark. This can involve engraving, etching, or changing the surface colour depending on the substrate.
The laser beam is precisely controlled by mirrors and software to form text, codes or graphics at high speed, with no inks or consumables required, making it a clean and reliable solution for industrial coding.

Simplified focus technology
The adjustable focus laser marking head with integrated simplified focus technology has been designed for lines with frequent product changeovers.
The simplified focus technology allows the laser to quickly adjust the laser working distance and focus, meaning there is no need to move the laser or adjust it for different height or width products. You can mark various sized products without laser adjustment, reducing changeover time and eliminating errors.

VisiCode® for cold glass marking
Linx VisiCode is a unique set of parameters, that modulates the laser to an adjusted pulse frequency, which produces highly visible markings on cold glass, even at the highest line speeds.
Each laser pulse produces micro cracks in the surface of the glass substrate. These cracks produce a slightly opaque dot with a higher contrast to the surrounding transparent glass. The code is more visible and of higher quality than one produced without the VisiCode feature. The integrity of the glass is unaffected.
