Linx Printing Technologies is a global leader in coding and marking solutions, helping manufacturers achieve reliable product identification and full traceability on production lines worldwide.

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, UK, Linx designs and manufactures industrial printers and fluids used across a wide range of industries.

Linx is a proud to be a part of the Veralto Group’s Product Quality and Innovation segment, which allows us to to draw on the expertise and systems and share insights with other Veralto OpCos.

What we do

We develop coding and marking systems that apply batch codes, expiry dates, barcodes and other essential data to products and packaging. Our solutions are used in industries including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, electronics, automotive and consumer goods, where clear, consistent coding is critical.

Our technologies include:

• Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printers for black and colour codes
• Laser coders for permanent, high-quality marks
• Thermal Transfer Overprinters (TTO) for flexible packaging

We have dedicated sales, marketing, and customer service operations in the UK, France, USA and China.

Awards

Awards have always reflected the values that drive Linx: innovation, continuous improvement and a commitment to customer success. From our earliest days, these achievements have recognised not only the technology we develop, but also the people behind it.

In 2024, the Linx 8000 Series Spectrum received the Veralto Gold Innovation Award, recognising its breakthrough approach to reliable pigmented ink coding.

In 2026, our Cambridge manufacturing site was also recognised with Veralto’s Most Improved Plant award for delivering sustained operational excellence and measurable performance improvements.

Sustainability

As part of our commitment to sustainability, Linx is continually reducing the environmental impact of our operations. We generate renewable energy through on-site solar power, use packaging materials that contain recycled content, and have eliminated single-use coffee cups from our workplace drink dispensers.
As part of the Veralto group, we are also contributing to wider sustainability goals, with Veralto increasing the proportion of electricity sourced from renewable energy from 9% to 54% in just three years and achieving a 22% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions from its 2023 baseline.
