If power is lost when the power drops or when someone pulls the plug, the printer shouldn’t just stop, it should keep printing and then shutdown properly. 

3 minutes of continued printing 

With Linx PrintProtect, the printer doesn’t stop immediately when power is interrupted. 

Instead, it can continue printing for up to 3 minutes on battery power. Meaning no missed prints. 

If power is restored within that time, production continues as normal with no interruption, no printer shutdown or restart. 

Automatic shutdown to prevent downtime 

If power isn’t restored within those 3 minutes, the printer doesn’t simply switch off. 

Instead, it performs a full, controlled shutdown routine. 

This ensures the printer is ready to start cleanly when you next need it. So, when production starts again – whether in minutes or the next shift – the printer is ready to go, without intervention.
